EFA Smart Suite - production

All ways of an EMS order lead to production! Regardless of whether the production of a printed circuit board is carried out by hand or by machine, the essential prerequisites for production are always correctly prepared data.

If the production takes place with the help of machines, then this data must be further processed depending on the machine type. For this step, more extensive machine knowledge is required and the necessary programming stations must be available. In particular, the programming of the placement machines is one of the tasks high error potential. Because this is where the assignment takes place between the alignment of the customer's components and the alignment of the components in the assembler’s own library.

To a particularly high degree prone to failure is of course that too manual assembly! Even if the first printed circuit board has been correctly assembled, the second can already be faulty. This is where people who are inferior to a machine for repetitive tasks are equipped. Nevertheless, manual assembly is the first choice for prototypes or small series.

Test procedure

Errors can occur in every step of production! When first manufacturing (Initial sample inspection) on a printed circuit board, the expected error rate is of course particularly high. But even with repeated production (Setup inspection, Small batch testing) the same printed circuit board, even with machine production, a large number of problems can arise.
Therefore, there are different test procedures that differ in the scope and procedure of the objects to be tested.
