With its inspection solution EFA Inspection®, LEBERT Software Engineering (LSE) offers an optimal solution for testing initial samples, small series, prototypes and Setup verification.

AOI solutions are usually not applicable in this area. Either the creation of a test program is not worth the time or the high number of pseudo errors binds - in addition to programming - an additional worker. In the THT area, it is also not possible to create an AOI program due to missing data for the components. Therefore, such optical inspection tasks are often solved manually. The inspectors laboriously compare component by component with a magnifying glass and golden board or parts list. This type of inspection is very tiring and extremely time consuming. In addition, it can neither be verified whether all components have actually been checked, nor can statistical evaluations of the frequency of errors take place automatically.
EFA Inspection® is designed precisely for these inspection tasks. The purely manual test sequence in the SMD and THT area is automated quickly and effectively. The inspection system automatically shows the inspector the boards and components to be inspected. With the help of optimized functions, such as the fade function, component drawings or pictures of a golden board can be shown over the test object. This enables the inspector to recognize errors at a glance and make the assessment intuitively. The test procedure will faster with time savings of up to 90% (instead of 3 hours for an initial sample test, only 20 minutes are required), automated (the examiner no longer has to search since the program controls the process) and comprehensible (EFA Inspection® documents the entire test). In addition, the test software is user-friendly in a Windows design and can be flexibly adapted to all system processes. The inspection system was developed in C ++ and strictly optimized for performance. It therefore also copes with large amounts of data that arise, for example, in the case of blanking.
Fair novelty! For the SMT 2011, the previous hardware unit will be completely revised. The photo station receives a touch PC in the front housing. The control of the photo box and the camera is completely self-sufficient. Together with the "EFA Camera" camera connection, the workflow can now be accelerated as follows: insert the test specimen in the box, align and zoom using the live image on the touch PC, trigger the recording. Small, quick inspection tasks can be carried out directly on the photo box using the touch PC. Or the recording is transferred to the test PC, automatically integrated into the test system and can be inspected after a few moments!
LEBERT Software Engineering Ltd. & Co. KG develops highly integrative software solutions for quality assurance. One focus is on customer-specific software solutions based on the individual requirements of each customer. The industry solution EFA Inspection® was presented for the first time at productronica 2009 and was continuously expanded. SMIL - "Smart Machines Integration Layer ”has been on the market for 5 years. The modular interface enables data transfer and results processing of data from the production control level (machine level) to the operational control level (MES systems).
